Manual

• Download winalive.
• Unpack the zip archive in the desired folder.
• Double click on the file "winalive.exe" to start the tool. No window will be opened but the tool will start as a background process.
• To make sure that winalive was started correctly you can check in the task manager under "background processes" if winalive is running.
• Double click again on the file "winalive.exe" to end winalive.

Note: Winalive is only active when there is no user input. As soon as there is user input, winalive terminates all simulations. As soon as a time X (adjustable in the settings.ini file) has passed without user input, the simulations are restarted.

Currently a setting of three parameters is possible. The settings must be made manually via the "settings.ini" file.  The file is located in the winalive program directory. Open the file with any text editor. The following parameters can be set.

Parameters:

•     INACTIVITY - After how many seconds without user input winalive should become active. (Default:        INACTIVITY=59)
•     KEYBOARDEVENTSIM - Should a keyboard event simulation be started. (Default: KEYBOARDEVENTSIM=True, value: True/False)
•     MOUSEEVENTSIM - Start a mouse event simulation. (Default: MOUSEEVENTSIM=True, Value: True/False)

If you have made changes to the settings then save them and start winalive. If winalive has already been started, the changes to the settings will only take effect after a restart.

Note: You can't do anything wrong with the settings. If there are any errors in the "settings.ini" file, the default settings will be applied automatically. You can restore the default "settings.ini" file at any time by deleting the "settings.ini" file and restarting winalive. The settings file will be automatically recreated with the default settings.
